Commercial & Industrial Solar
Cut daytime peak tariff expenses for factories, schools, hospitals, and cold storages.
Commercial & Industrial Solar
Factories, warehouses, offices, shops, schools — if you have a large roof and a heavy daytime power load, solar makes simple financial sense. No subsidy needed for the ROI to work, but accelerated depreciation benefits apply.
- Save ₹3–5 lakh per year on a 50 kW system
- 40% accelerated depreciation benefit
- Reduce your dependence on grid power and diesel gensets
- Systems designed around your daytime load profile
- Low maintenance — panels last 25+ years

Key specifications and prerequisites for a commercial & industrial solar installation:
Who it suits
Any commercial or industrial consumer with a sanctioned load of 10 kW or more and a large, shade-free roof (metal sheet or RCC).
Typical system capacity
10 kW to 500 kW+. A 50 kW system on a factory roof can save ₹3–5 lakh per year on electricity.
Space & roof needs
About 100 sq ft per kW. Metal sheet roofs need rail-mounted systems. RCC roofs use ballast or bolt-down mounts.
What actually happens from start to finish
Here is our transparent 5-step roadmap. No surprises or unaccounted delays.
Site assessment
We visit the premises, review your electricity bills, check the roof and measure available area.
System design & proposal
We model the system against your load profile and give you a detailed techno-commercial proposal with ROI projections.
Approvals
We apply for connectivity approval from your DISCOM and handle all regulatory paperwork.
Installation
Our team installs panels, inverters, junction boxes, wiring and safety systems. Larger systems take 2–4 weeks.
Commissioning
DISCOM inspection, net meter installation, and system handover with documentation and training for your staff.
Common questions about Commercial & Industrial Solar
Everything you need to know about DISCOM approvals, net metering, subsidies, and maintenance.
The PM Surya Ghar subsidy is only for residential consumers. However, businesses can claim accelerated depreciation (40%) under the Income Tax Act, which significantly reduces the effective cost. We can connect you with a CA who understands solar depreciation.
Under net metering in UP, surplus units are carried forward monthly. At year-end, the DISCOM buys remaining surplus at the APPC rate. For most commercial consumers, the system is sized to self-consume most of the power during working hours.
The system keeps generating. Surplus power flows to the grid and is credited to your account. You use those credits on working days.
Most commercial systems in UP break even in 3–4 years, depending on your tariff slab and consumption pattern. After that, the power is nearly free for 20+ years.
